Lifeworks is looking for an experienced California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a track record of strong clinical and programmatic leadership. This position requires an investment in social justice awareness and advocacy, cultural humility and a conscientious approach to privilege and power. Bilingual/bicultural candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Program Director manages multiple contracts for outpatient therapy services and a team of associate and licensed clinicians. This person collaborates with administrative and program staff in developing systems and protocols that enhance clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities
DUTIES:
- Contract management- serves as a liaison for contracts, representing the agency in the community. Tracks contract progress and goals. Submits data and documentation per funding requirements.
- Staff management- hires, trains, and evaluates staff. Provides direct management and clinical supervision to associate and licensed clinicians and administrative staff.
- Program management- oversees all aspects of program implementation including maintaining adequate referrals and caseloads, tracking staff productivity, providing quality control of documentation and files.
- Leadership- participates in agency development and decision making as part of a collaborative leadership team. Provides community education and training through presentations and involvement in community events.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Detail-orientated- the ability to understand written and spoken details and data; to review, audit, and utilize detailed information; ability to communicate clinical and programmatic details clearly.
- Communication- strong, assertive communication skills and commitment to proactive conflict resolution.
- System development- the ability to assess current systems for effectiveness and efficiency; ability to develop new systems and implement them effectively across multiple levels of the agency (clinical, administrative, management).
- Staff support- the ability to have healthy, professional relationships with peers and subordinates; the ability to supervise a diverse team from a culturally respectful perspective.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- LCSW/LMFT with current CA licensure (ability to supervise associates preferred)
- At least two years of program management
- Ability to pass state and federal background check
