SUMMER CAMP AT THE JCCSF IS BACK!
After a full year of remote learning and activities, the JCCSF will resume in-person summer camp for the 2021 camp season. They are looking for experienced, motivated and enthusiastic camp counselors and specialists to bring the camp experience back to the community.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Be the primary role model for a group of campers, grades K through 8
Create a safe, supportive environment for campers
Plan, organize and supervise fun and age-appropriate activities
Help lead lesson plans and support indoor and outdoor programming
Set clear, consistent limits and resolve behavioral challenges with help from supervisors
Take on additional responsibilities as required
Requirements:
must be at least 16 with a valid work permit
willing to commit to at nine weeks of camp plus our Staff Training Week
a team player
experienced in working with children ages 5 through 15, preferably in a camp setting
warm, open and able to respond sensitively to diverse groups of children
interested in creating, planning and facilitating group activities
appropriately silly and imaginative at play
adept at juggling attention to one camper while supervising large groups
enthusiastic, flexible and able to improvise (a must)
Summer Hours including paid staff training and direct service hours:
June 7, 2021 – August 13, 2021; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday
