Program Director Homework Central

Type: Full-time

County: San Mateo

Agency: Homework Central

Agency Description:

Agency Description: Homework Central has been serving elementary school students in the San Mateo Foster City School District (SMFCSD) since 1998, with a mission to foster academic success through tutoring and family support. Our goal is to provide the opportunities and encouragement students need, so they can gain confidence and achieve academic growth in elementary school and beyond.

Typically, our students’ families speak a language other than English at home and/or are socioeconomically disadvantaged. We operate as an after-school program four days a week on five sites in SMFCSD (in San Mateo Park, Sunnybrae, and Baywood schools). The program also has a family engagement component where we meet with families every quarter over a meal, work on enrichment projects, and provide bilingual presentations on community resources and groups.

We are a 501(3)(c) nonprofit.
