Job Description

The National Equity Project's Associate position with the Center for Equity Leadership is an opportunity for a leader who is passionate and has experience in cultivating professional development and learning spaces for adults that are humanizing and that build the equity leadership capacity of attendees. This role will contribute to the innovation and evolution of NEP’s content and the vibrancy of NEP’s team and organization. The application window for this role will be open until May 31, 2022.

The Position

The Role

You will create learning spaces and deliver Center for Equity Leadership professional development content that helps attendees achieve the intended learning outcomes and experiences.

You will support the codification of existing Center for Equity Leadership content and services and contribute to the creation and evolution of NEP content.

You will participate in and contribute to NEP’s organizational wellness, learning, and professional development structures and activities.

Time Allocation

  • Professional Development Delivery: 70%

  • Content Development: 15%

  • Organizational Learning & Administration: 15%

The Team

  • You will report to the Director of the Center for Equity Leadership.

  • You will work most closely with the Center for Equity Leadership and Marketing & Communications teams.

  • You will collaborate and learn with a diverse team that is located in different parts of the country.

Start Date, Location & Travel

  • Location: Anywhere in the US

  • Travel: Some travel, 10-15% in the first year, may be required based on event locations

Start Date: Ideally August 2022 or sooner

Requirements

This role is a fit if you...

  • Have 3-5 years of experienced and practiced process and facilitation skills for equity – ability to use tools to name behaviors, interrupt patterns of dysfunction and oppression, and re-culture toward equity and liberation

    Have a proven ability to effectively work and collaborate across differences, including race, gender and culture, and willingness to engage in honest conversations about challenging topics such as racism and systemic oppression

    Have a demonstrated commitment to individual development and learning

    Have experience in creating highly engaging and accessible content and materials that supports learning.

    Are an exceptional communicator, able to be authentic, succinct and clear in corresponding with challenging group dynamic

    Are highly proficient in GSuite tools, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Zoom

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $86,667
