We are thrilled for Lupine to move into this role after 13 years of service to CalSAC as a chapter leader, board member and staff member, and over 22 years in the out-of-school time (OST) field. We are excited to leverage Lupine’s strong skillset in fundraising, strategy and organizational management, deep connections in the field, and extensive working knowledge of the organization.

We support and applaud her commitment to advance CalSAC towards a new collective vision that we – staff, board, and stakeholders – will build together.

Lupine is beginning her role as Executive Director effective immediately and will be working alongside Interim Executive Director Sara Reyes until Sara’s departure on August 31. Please join us in congratulating Lupine and celebrating this important milestone for the organization and the OST field!

In community,

Lupine's Message to the CalSAC Community

It is an incredible honor to shift into the CalSAC Executive Director role in this moment. CalSAC has been an important part of my life for nearly 15 years – over and over again, it has grounded me in my values, connected me to a community of support and inspiration, and reminded me of how I can leverage my strengths to “change the things in the world that I cannot accept” (Angela Davis).

I have also borne witness to stories of connection, empowerment, and transformation from countless others in the CalSAC community. These stories remind me of what makes this organization so special – CalSAC is a place for each of us to find our authentic voice and stand in our greatness. It is a place for us to unite as a community, amplify a call for justice, and work alongside young people to imagine and build the world that we want to live in.
