Power and Purpose: Incorporating Practices to Support Healing

During this training, participants will review the principles of Healing Centered Engagement from Dr. Shawn Ginwright and identify the initial steps in beginning to integrate these practices into their work with youth. Intentionally incorporating practices rooted in Healing Centered Engagement principles engages staff in playing an active role in supporting young people heal from harm they may have experienced.

In this training, participants will:

  • Review learning from Part I of the Power and Purpose series

  • Explore and apply the principles of Healing Centered Engagement

  • Reflect on what it will take to begin working with youth in this way

Participants will review learning and homework from Session I

Healing Centered Engagement 

Participants will review the principles of Healing Centered Engagement.

Healing Centered Engagament Principles & Practices  

Participants will apply Healing Centered Engagement practices to scenarios and their own situations.
