This module was originally developed as part of the English Learner Training and Professional Development Project, and was later revised and adapted for virtual delivery in 2021 as part of the Multilingual Learner Training Project.
During this training, participants will understand Multilingual Learner typologies and explore ways to meet the needs of different multilingual learner populations.
In this training participants will:
learn basic facts about Multilingual Learners in California;
learn about the different typologies of multilingual learners;
begin exploring how to meet the needs of different multilingual learner populations.

Introducing Coaching and Action-Planning Toolkit
Participants become familiar with the activities and tools they will be taking back to their programs to implement with the rest of their staff to help them understand their ML population better and institute targeted strategies to meet the needs of their MLs.
