Become an Energenius® is Activity Guide #4 of the 4-part Energenius® OST Curriculum designed for children and youth in out-of-school time (OST) programs. It is designed to engage children and youth to think about how they can save energy, how to recycle, reduce and reuse, and actions they will take to promote energy efficiency in their homes and community. This training module will prepare participants to deliver the activities from Become an Energenius® as well as sharing energy saving resources with families.

In this training participants will:
Be able to facilitate activities in the Energenius® Out-of-School Time Activity Guide: Become an Energenius® with children and youth
Be able to provide resources for saving money and energy for the families of the children and youth in their programs.

Making Good Energy Choices
Participants have a chance to experience an activity from Become an Energenius® to prepare them to lead all activities with children and youth.
Energenius® OST Activity Guide: Become an Energenius®
This activity allows participants to explore the remaining 2 activities in Become an Energenius®. They will have a chance to plan how they will implement the activities and identify ways to make the activities meet the needs of the children and youth in their programs.
Engaging Children, Youth and Families
Participants will have the opportunity to plan an event to share energy savings resources with families and showcase the work of children and youth.
Training Length: 2 hours
