This module was revised in 2016 to incorporate social-emotional learning, character building and Quality Standards for Expanded Learning in California as part of CalSAC's work with the Expanded Learning 360/365 project.
During this training, participants will examine how to implement activities designed to promote cultural sensitivity, diversity and/or equity understanding and support self- and social awareness among children and youth.
In this training participants will:

Content Overview:
Who are our kids, culturally speaking?
Participants put on nametags and identify the multiple cultural identities of children and youth at their site. They also discuss what they believe are the impact and implications of the cultural identities of children and youth at their site.

Participants explore activities that address promoting cultural sensitivity, diversity and equity understanding among children and youth.
