In this training participants will:
Identify the qualities of healthy self-esteem and how they relate to social-emotional skills;
Learn strategies and activities to help children/youth develop healthy self-esteem.
Content Overview:
Organize Yourselves
Participants organize themselves into groups based on certain stated criteria. They reflect on the experience of working within a group and are introduced to some key concepts of self-esteem.
Self-Esteem Discussion
Participants will learn about self-esteem and tips for working with children/youth as they develop positive self-esteem.
Activities To Build Positive Self-Esteem
Participants will engage in a variety of activities that will help children/youth develop positive self-esteem, which they will be able take back and implement at their programs.
