NPASS is one of the largest and most comprehensive professional development programs for science in afterschool. With curriculum written by Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC) and initial funding from the National Science Foundation, the NPASS program strives to build the confidence and skills of out-of-school time staff to lead high quality, engaging STEM activities.
STEM activities range from engineering and design challenges to exploration of physical science phenomena.
CalSAC is the only provider of NPASS in California and is one of only 9 states in the country offering this program. Almost 1,000 afterschool sites nationwide are currently offering regular, high quality afterschool science projects through NPASS.
