The PCY Team works remotely, with the highest concentration of staff located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Salary range is $140,000-$165,000 per year with a generous benefit package and flexible work schedule.

Job Description

The CEO will guide strategy and daily operations and work in partnership with the Board to set organizational vision and long-term direction. Other key responsibilities include oversight of programs, fundraising and external relations, finance, HR, administration, and board engagement. The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $165,000 per year. PCY’s benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer match, 13 paid holidays, 3-5 weeks of paid time off, depending on tenure.

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

Ensure alignment of annual program goals with the organization’s vision and strategic direction.
Guide organizational evolution. Balance program implementation with innovation and expansion.
Center equity across all internal and external work. Oversee the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy.
Oversee policy development and advocacy strategy and advocate for public policies that further PCY’s mission. Research and represent community needs to policy makers.
Identify key partners that may benefit from PCY’s engagement and support.
Design the resource development strategy for earned revenue and philanthropic support. Serve as lead fundraiser by cultivating and stewarding potential and current funders.
Serve as spokesperson and thought-leader. Build strong relationships with policy makers, organizational partners, special constituencies, donors, and the press to expand organizational impact.
Provide fiscal and administrative oversight to ensure compliance, organizational sustainability, and effective service delivery.
Guide annual budgeting, resource allocation, and goal setting processes.
Prioritize the use of technology and data tracking.
Build and retain a strong team with a values-aligned culture. Develop and provide oversight to the HR/People function.
Support the Board’s goals and objectives, including board development, recruiting, and on-boarding.
Communicate regularly with Board members about risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 10 years advocating for programs for children and youth. An existing network of funders, partners, and colleagues in related fields is preferred.
Proven ability to work with policymakers, community organizations, school administrators, district administrators, and other key stakeholders.
Exceptionally strong oral communication skills and comfort with public presentations.
Demonstrated track record of growing and sustaining a non-profit organization or program.
Ability to be flexible, creative and innovative.
Fluency in English is required. Fluency in other languages is desirable. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
