Team Leaders (TL) are an integral component to the success of CalSAC’s Challenge! As a Team Leader, you will lead of group of afterschool and school-age care professionals, parents, and youth with varying levels of advocacy experience. No advocacy experience needed! Training is available to ensure you are successful in your role. This is a skill building opportunity for many who attend the event as well as a tangible way to advocate for afterschool and school-age programs. As we are returning to an in-person Challenge in 2023, Team Leader responsibilities are similar to those before COVID. Please review Team Leader Responsibilities for a full explanation of responsibilities.

Also, note mandatory Team Leader training dates below - TLs are asked to attend a virtual orientation in early March, and an in-person training (Sacramento) on March 13. To sign up to be a Team Leader, please register for the Challenge, and select “Yes” for Team Leader when prompted.
