The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that out-of-school time programs make a reasonable effort to accommodate all children and youth. It is important for staff to have the skills necessary to assess the environment, materials, equipment, and activities to make the necessary modifications and accommodations so that all children and youth in their programs are successful.
