Now Accepting Applications to Become a CalSAC
Trainer
The CalSAC Trainer Network builds the
training and facilitation skills of leaders in the
field who, in turn, provide
training to program staff, volunteers and administrators
working in a variety
of programs across the state.
Each year, CalSAC invites 120
out-of-school time professionals throughout California to join the
Trainer Network. Below are the upcoming dates for the Fall 2010 Training
of Trainers Institutes.

CalSAC's Spotlight on Afterschool Conference
October 14-16, 2010 ~ Sacramento, CA
For over 25 years, the California School-Age Consortium has offered out-of-school time professionals a unique opportunity to learn,
grow, and be supported at our annual CalSAC Spotlight
on Afterschool Conference.
Working with children and youth after the school bell
rings takes on many forms (afterschool, school-age child care, latchkey, parks and recreation, etc) and this is
the conference for you!
Come build an OST community and continue to move our
field forward together at the CalSAC Spotlight on Afterschool
Conference.
We invite you to join us for three professional days
of interactive workshops, engaging speakers and performances,
networking opportunities and community building. This

Success at CalSAC's 6th Annual CA Afterschool Challenge!
On May 17 and 18,
nearly 200 afterschool professionals and youth gathered in Sacramento
for CalSAC’s 6th Annual
California Afterschool Challenge.
We urged the legislature to
reject the Governor’s proposed budget cuts in the May Revise that would
eliminate essential services for children, youth, and
families.
Participation at this year’s event could not have been more timely!
California’s children and
families need us now more than ever!
We urge you to continue to voice the
