Program Supervisor, Early Education and Extended Learning Programs, Glendale Unified School District
Deidre began her afterschool career 13 years ago as a substitute class room teacher for afterschool programs for Options in the San Gabriel Valley. Her involvement with CalSAC has included organization and planning of local regional training, job fairs, as well as serving as the Los Angeles Chapter Vice President. Deidre studied at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development, specializing in Child Development.

Simon Lee
Executive Director, Growth and Learning Opportunities (GLO)
Simon has been working at GLO, a non-profit direct service after-school organization in San Francisco, since 1990 as a line staff person and Site Director. Simon has a Master's in Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from San Francisco State University, and now teaches part-time at City College of San Francisco and SF State University. Simon was CalSAC's Leadership Fellow for the Trainer network and is past recipient of San Francisco's Week of the Young Child Provider of the Year award. In his spare time, he likes to listen to his ipod, run, and play basketball.
Mark Mariscal
Mark Mariscal
Superintendent of Recreation and Parks, Los Angeles
As the Superintendent of Recreation and Parks Operations, Pacific Region, Mark oversees 55 recreation centers including licensed child care facilities, public recreation after-school programs, summer camps, 30 non-staffed parks, and other Department-run programs. During his 26-year city career, he has worked at various recreation centers before moving into supervision and management. He was the executive director for the first intergenerational community center and the largest recreational facility operated by the City of Los Angeles. In addition to his management duties, he also serves as executive producer for many programs and events that bring communities together to celebrate the rich, diverse heritage of Los Angeles and emphasize the accomplishments of children while providing them with a vehicle of success. Also, Mark is a Rotarian and currently sits on the LA5 Rotary Board of Directors.

Mark currently serves as the Treasurer of CalSAC.
Elaine Moore

Director of Program Services, YWCA of Greater Los Angeles
Elaine Moore began her career with the YWCA of Los Angeles in 1968 as a teenage program director and has held many positions since; including center director for Compton and Watts, director of community relations, and assistant to the COO. Elaine received her BA from the California State University of Los Angeles. Moore has been recognized for her local and statewide community work. In addition to her work with the YWCA, Moore is the past president and current Board member of the Girls and Gangs organization and serves on the LA County Office of Education Afterschool Programs Advisory Board among other leadership positions. A native of Los Angeles, Moore is a proud mother and grandmother.
Cathie Mostovoy
Cathie Mostovoy
Chief Executive Officer, Woodcraft Rangers
Cathie Mostovoy has over 20 years of experience in delivering and administering after-school and educational services for young people in need. The Los Angeles-based Woodcraft Rangers serves over 14,000 youth annually through enriching after-school and camping programs that help children mature into healthy, productive adults through positive life experiences. Cathie holds a B.A. in child development and an M.A. in educational counseling. She is currently a national Ambassador for the Afterschool Alliance, steering member on the Los Angeles Partnership for After School Enrichment (LA APSE), and a member of the leadership team for the California AfterSchool Network.
Michelle Pelliccino
Michelle Pelliccino
Out of School – Program Director, Camp Fire USA Orange County
Michelle is the Out of School – Program Director for Camp Fire USA Orange County Council overseeing the Orange County Council’s afterschool programs, High School ASSETs programs, day camp programs as well as the Residential Summer Camp program.  

 

With more than eight years experience in the out-of-school time community, Michelle's involvement in CalSAC has included serving on several conference planning committees, organization and planning of local regional trainings as well as serving as serving as the former Los Angeles Chapter Co-President. Michelle is currently active in the Orange County Chapter where she resides.

 

Michelle studied at Pacific Oaks College, Pasadena California, receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Development, as well as her master's degree in Human Development. Michelle also holds two specialization degrees in Human Development and Social Change as well as Leadership in Education and Human Services.

 

Ron Quini
Supervisor of Extra Curricular Programs

Ron has been involved full time in afterschool programing since 1993. After graduating from the Univeristy of Southern California with a degree in Social Science and Communication, he later earned his MA in Public Administration from National University.

 

Ron is a regular committee member for free county-wide trainings offered through the Children's Initiative in San Diego. He also has been a planning committee member for CalSAC's statewide conference. In 2000, Ron initiated his district's annual canned food drive benefitting the Encinitas Community Resource Center Holiday Basket Program for low income families and the annual Make-A-Wish Foundation coin drive.

Ron and his wife Anna enjoy spending free time with their three children. He is a two time member of the U.S. national karate team and former AAU National Champion. Ron is a self-described basball junkie and football fanatic. "GO 'SC!"
